Robyn Rihanna Fenty, also known as Rihanna is a Barbadian singer-songwriter who gave us hit songs such as Pon de Replay SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. She's a hugely popular performer who has sold more than 41 million albums worldwide and more than 150 million songs. Barbados born, she listened to reggae as she grew and then began singing for herself as an teen. Because of the chaos in her home and the arguments that her parents had, she began to pursue music. Soon she decided she was going to make a profession of a performer. When she was in high school, she started a group of musicians. They also had the opportunity to meet the music producer Evan Rodgers. He was stunned by her talent. She was then moved into New York to start a profession as a full-time singer. Rihanna became a huge hit as her debut album landed on the market. Rihanna was loved by the youth for her peppy dance music, which was a hit. This led to Rihanna becoming a director. Pretty young and highly talented she is today regarded as a teen idol and a fashion icon. Rihanna is also involved in donating to charities and making use of her celebrity status to benefit charities.
